Sinopsis
In a forgotten corner of Chinatown, Sam, a 23-year-old, faces an empty and monotonous life, trapped in apathy as he works in a desolate barbershop. The echo of scissors and the routine sounds of the salon begin to create cracks in his reality, allowing repressed memories from his past to slowly seep into his daily life. Among shadows and vague glimmers, the figure of his mother starts to subtly appear, like a ghost that never leaves, materializing in small details: a familiar scent, the reflection of lipstick in a mirror, the imperceptible touch of a hand that is no longer there.
With each cut, Sam delves further into a state between the conscious and the subconscious, where the boundaries between his present and his past begin to blur. A strange client and the enigma of a child who appears and disappears in the empty streets pull him toward a confrontation with those memories that have silently pursued him and now demand to be acknowledged.
Nowhere is a dark and surreal exploration of isolation, loneliness, and the weight of the past. The indifferent and empty city mirrors Sam’s fragmented memory, where the tangible intertwines with the ethereal, and where the memories of an absent mother weave a narrative of longing and deep wounds that remain open.
